B: Rental Terms and Policies

Music rentals must be placed by a representative of the organization (orchestra) wishing to perform the music. This is usually the librarian, manager or other person with the authority to make purchases.

Standard rentals are for a period of 6 weeks (portal to portal) from the day the materials leave our office until the day they are returned. Extended periods, which incur a surcharge, depending on how long a your organization needs the materials can be arranged.

Rental fees do not include the cleaning and restoration of scores and parts that are returned heavily marked and/or defaced. Additional fees will be charged in these situations.

Full payment must be made before any materials are shipped. We prefer payment via check in U.S. Dollars drawn on a Company Account. We also accept Visa, MasterCard and in the case of International orders, Bank Wire Transfers.

The organization renting (hiring) the performance materials (score and parts) is responsible for them until they are returned to our offices. The best way to return the materials is by the same method that you received them. In the U.S. we generally use UPS. With international orders we use both UPS and USPS Priority Mail, depending on the speed required, exact location and any special requests made by the renter. In either case be sure to insure the materials for their full value. Generally Small (Chamber size) sets should be insured for $500.00. Full orchestra Pops sets for $700.00. Larger (non pops) sets will include a replacement value with your invoice and packing list.

Individual missing or mutilated (overly marked) parts will each incur a charge between $25.00 and $50.00 depending on their length. Scores will also be charged for depending on length.
